Moore Consulting is an award-winning, innovative company.  We help garden centers not only increase their immediate sales, but also build their business by attracting more key buyers to their stores, and by providing critical analytics of their mailing programs to help them constantly improve their marketing efforts.

We love what we do and it shows--our programs work! 

It all started over 29 years ago, in the fall of 1982.  Dr. Wayne Moore had already worked for the University of California, Berkeley, Cooperative Extension Service for 3 years.  He then started the company, and innovations soon followed.  Dr. Moore helped produce the encyclopedic Ortho Problem Solver as a special consultant and writer.  He also developed the Home Gardener's Newsletter, a popular customer newsletter service for garden centers now in its 29th year of publication. Many of these newsletters included coupons, and by testing coupons and talking with hundreds of garden centers over decades, he has learned which offers produce the best response rates and yield the highest sales averages. 

Moore Consulting has coordinated numerous and diverse marketing programs for garden centers over the years, sometimes working together with nursery co-ops.  About 18 years ago the company developed the extremely effective New Homeowner Program which is used by over 150 garden centers today.  In 2008 we launched the innovative Garden Cards program that mails out plastic pop-out postcards to powerful new lists, including the highly successful Garden Lovers List™.  We work actively with our clients to test different offers and this has given our company a huge advantage in knowing how to draw customers into garden centers.

Our mailing programs are strategic: Our goal is not to try to target everyone in a community, but to do targeted mailings that focus on reaching people who spend more on their garden.  This maximizes the return on investment (ROI) for our client garden centers.  Our innovative programs, plus extensive experience and on-going testing all work together to reward garden centers with superior results.
