Moore Consulting is an award-winning company that helps garden centers and retail nurseries build their business by bringing key buyers into their stores. 

Dr. Wayne Moore started the company nearly 28 years ago, in the fall of 1982.  After working for the University of California, Berkeley, Cooperative Extension Service for 3 years, Dr. Moore helped produce the encyclopedic Ortho Problem Solver as a special consultant and writer.  He also developed the Home Gardener's Newsletter, a popular customer newsletter service for garden centers now in its 28th year of publication. Many of these newsletters have included coupons, and by talking with hundreds of garden centers over many years, he has been able to learn which offers produce the best response rates and yield the highest sales. 

Moore Consulting has coordinated numerous and diverse marketing programs for garden centers over the years, sometimes working together with nursery co-ops.  About 17 years ago the company developed the extremely effective New Homeowner Program which is used by over 200 garden centers today.  We launched the innovative Garden Cards program that includes the use of powerful new lists in 2008.  We work actively with our clients to test different offers and this has given our company an important advantage in knowing how to draw customers into garden centers.

Our goal when we create mailing programs is not to try to target everyone in a community, but to do strategic mailings that focus on reaching buyers who will spend more.  This maximizes the return on investment (ROI) for our client garden centers.  Our innovative programs, plus extensive experience and on-going research all work together to reward garden centers with superior results.
